Pierce standout Hudson Byorick named Southern Conference Baseball Player of the Week

Byorick was a first team West Region All-Star Outfielder for Pierce in 2018.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford outfielder Hudson Byorick and Mercer's left-handed pitcher Tanner Hall have been named the Southern Conference player and pitcher of the week, respectively, for all games April 8-14. The selections were made by the league office.
Starting all four games for the Terriers this past week, Byorick hit a team leading .562 batting average. The junior from Auburn, Washington, went 9-for-16 with nine hits, six RBIs, two doubles and a homerun.
This is the first Player of the Week honor for Byorick and the first for the Terriers this season. Hayes Heinecke (3/4 and 3/11) and Austin Higginbotham (4/1) have earned Pitcher of the Week honors this season.
